A Construction Party is great for kids who can't get enough of blocks, trucks, cranes and dirt.
Have the party at a nearby park that has a large sand box or create a temporary construction site in your yard or driveway by hauling in a few buckets of dirt, sand, and gravel from a local landscaping store.
Fun Invitations
Make the invitations in the shape of a construction hat or dump truck. Use the words "Caution - Construction Zone". Include a photo of your child playing with his/her construction toys.
Fun Decorations
Decorate the party area with construction zone signs, yellow caution take and yellow and black balloons. Display construction toys and tools.
Fun Games & Activities
Set-up a free play area with trucks and blocks. Do a bean bag drop into the back of a dump truck. Show a short kid's video on construction or road building. Buy a ride-on dump truck and give children rides down the driveway or sidewalk.
Fun Foods
Serve sandwiches, pizza or macaroni and cheese. Serve pretzels or cookies in the back of clean (new) toy dump trucks. Make cupcakes or cake with cookie crumb dirt and mini toy trucks or make a dump truck cake
